Software Engineer II Job

SOFTWARE ENGINEER II needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Rochester, NY.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- B.S. in C.S. or EE.
- C++, OOD skills.
- DSP experience.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for trouble report analysis and resolution, test design, data analysis and script development for automated testing.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Bachelor's degree (Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Math) or equivalent.
- Software Development engineer with two to five (2 - 5) years of experience in Embedded systems development.
- C and C++ programming language experience using Visual Studio or similar development tools.
- Familiarity with SVN and software quality management.
- Familiarity with CORBA or other object-oriented development framework.
- Experience with Real Time Embedded systems.
- Familiarity with QNX operating system, Networking, Software Communications Architecture, software-defined radio, RF hardware or Digital Signal Processing is strongly preferred.
- Requires good communication skills and the ability to work on a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing and Layer 2 media access control protocols.
- Experience with software-defined radio implementations, included DoD waveforms.
- Must be able to quickly familiarize self with and modify existing software to add new capabilities.
- Familiarity with Real Time operating systems, such as TI DSP/BIOS.
- Familiarity with TI DSP 5510/64x.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with QNX operating system, Networking, Software Communications Architecture, software-defined radio, RF hardware or Digital Signal Processing is strongly preferred.
