Software Engineer II-III Job

SOFTWARE ENGINEER II-III needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CLARK, NEW JERSEY.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Two to five (2-5) years' experience with object-oriented Applications Development
- Experience VB.NET and C#; Web Forms, MVC, WCF, and web services.
- SQL Server (preferable) and/or Oracle experience.
- JSON, HTML, XML, ORM, graphical user interfaces.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for design, development, modification, and testing of VB.NET and C# web services and web applications used by employees. These applications support the internal work processes and information needs of the organization and its customers.
- Design, develop, modify, and test VB.NET and C# web services and web applications.
- Partner with the business stakeholders to determine the needs of the systems; analyze various solutions; design excellent technical solutions.
- Make recommendations for improving: application design, application response time, development process, user experience, and deployment of code to various environments.
- Translate business needs into research designs that generate actionable insights into buying trends, customer sentiments, and sales-cycle feedback.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Two to five (2-5) years' experience with object-oriented Applications Development
- Experience VB.NET and C#; Web Forms, MVC, WCF, and web services.
- SQL Server (preferable) and/or Oracle experience.
- JSON, HTML, XML, ORM, graphical user interfaces.
- Minimum of five (5) years .NET application development experience with distributed web-based systems.
- Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.
- Good oral and written communications skills.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Telerik (Web Controls and Open Access) experience is a plus.
- Multi-tier architecture experience including Microsoft SQL Server (or Oracle) and experience with one or more ORMs.
- Excellent and demonstrated competencies in the following areas: systems analysis, communications, problem solving, business acumen, creative and innovative thinking, working in a team.
- Visual Studio 2013 experience including Team Foundation Server, unit tests, deployment.
