Software Engineer - Drupal

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Drupal) Technology

Base:Broadcast Centre

Daily Rate: 300 to 400 per day

Contract: Continuing

Our client is the largest playout and channel management business in the UK, providing critical services to a number of broadcasters.

They specialise in the delivery and promotion of digital media required to promote access to broadcast content across all media, from television to mobile phones. With over 1000 staff in London and almost 100 around the UK and revenues in excess of 100million,

Initially focussed within the UK, our client has successfully won business globally and is developing plans to expand in Europe, Asia and the USA wherever possible using its state-of-the-art Broadcast Centre based in West London.

They are now looking for a software engineer who will be very well versed in Drupal 6 working across a brand new media player that the company is developing.

In addition, the Senior Software Engineer provides them with the skill set required to design, develop and deploy applications for any business area or system within the business. You will also assist in the bid process, support internal and external clients with consultancy of process and application development

Experience

At least 2 years demonstrable experience of building Drupal 6 websites for major commercial clients.
We will need to see several links with current websites developed by the candidate.

Must have expert level hands on experience of:

* Configuring Views, CCK and other contributed modules to develop the site structure.
* Configuring the CMS for use by non-developers to add and edit content on a busy site.
* Pixel perfect Drupal 6 theming using PHP theme overrides, and CSS from layered PSDs from the designers.

Must have some experience of:

* Javascript and Jquery in Drupal 6 themes.
* Developing custom modules
* Developing in a team environment

Highly desirable to have experience of:

* Using version control systems (SVN or CVS)
* Developing in a localhost environment.
* Using a professional IDE
