Software Engineer - Dev. of Storage Tools

Job description

- Design and develop tools and test frameworks
- Apply appropriate automation technologies to meet the short and long term goals of the team.
- Provide design documentation for the test tools
- You participate in executing tests using the developed tools, and analysing the results.
- You build frameworks to execute the tests in a distributed environment.
- Provide planning and reporting for your development projects to the team leader.
- Proactively participate in maintaining team development standards and best practices
- Participate in identifying the tests and services to be automated based on both business priority and quality and performance improvements (ROI)

Profile

- Bachelor's or master degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience in development and Scripting in a Linux environment (2+ years). Experience of Mac and Windows environments would be an asset.
- Experience with C sharp (C#) development is an asset.
- Relevant experience in development and Scripting of file access solutions in a heterogeneous environment would be an asset
- Some successful experience in test tool development and test automation and a good understanding of the development life cycle of a software product would be an asset
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Strong team-oriented, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Must be highly motivated, self-driven, and have the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Good documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills are essential
