Software Engineer: core Java and Oracle PL/SQL

Software Engineer with Java and Oracle PL/SQL wanted for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- First or advanced university degree in a relevant field of specialization
- 12+ hands-on development experience using core Java and Oracle PL/SQL
- Solid knowledge of Financial Services domain - ideally risk (credit risk)
- Good command of Unix, Linux, GitHUB, Sonar added is advantageous
- Familiarity with multi-threading, JDBC, XML-parsing and data loading using Java
- Ability to understand existing functionalities using Java/SQL code with less documentation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to work as part of a global team
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German is a plus
YOUR TASKS:
- Implementing and delivering high quality software solutions as well as components for the Risk platform in compliance with architectural standards
- Applying his/her expertise to mentor and lead developers, reviewing code/designs and ensuring adherence to standards
- Managing and 'owning' significant development tasks end-to-end
- Collaborating with other development, testing and implementation teams to roll-out important regulatory and business improvement programs
