Software Engineer (Chef)

We are looking for a Chef Consultant in CA, details:

2- month project,

Location : LA,CA (may have to travel for few weeks)

Start: 2 weeks

Chef Resource

- Setup/configuration/administration of both the Chef Server and Chef Client systems and able to train on appropriate follow-through and support
- Must have written recipes and cookbooks in Chef
- Experience in Ruby Scripting (ties with having written recipes/cookbooks)
- Experience with extending the automation to Windows systems
- Familiar with utilizing and developing within the Chef Development Kit (Chef DK)and be able to effectively utilize its components, including but not limited to the following:
- Knife
- Ohai
- chef command line tool
- Berkshelf dependency manager
- Test Kitchen
- Able to utilize and train upon proper usage of management console and analytics platform
- Able to distinguish and provide recommendations for consideration or limitations to take into account for multiple OS and binaries across different Servers across the enterprise with different release pipelines

Experience in Unix/Linux systems

- Bash/Shell Scripting

Nice to have

- Experience with Windows Powershell and Desired State Configuration (DSC).
