Software Engineer - C#, OO Desighn, WCF, WPF, SQL

A UK based company with a number of market leading products are looking for a Software Engineer on a permanent basis.

Location: Leicester
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000pa + Benefits

Technical Skills:
- C# programming for .NET 4.0
- A strong understanding of Object Orientated Design
- WPF
- WCF
- SQL

Ideal Industry Background: Software development for industrial machinery- Machine control/real-time/multi-threading programming experience

Desirable technical skills:
- Visual C++
- Real-time imaging and control systems
- WF (Windows workflow foundation)
- WCF (Windows communication foundation)
- Unit testing

We are NOT looking for Windows Forms or ASP developers. Similarly we do not use Visual Basic.

Job purpose/ function:
The Software Engineer will work with engineering staff to define interfaces between hardware and software, develop software performance and user requirements specifications, develop software designs, system test and validation procedures, undertake software programming and development of documentation. As some systems are in commercial production, there will also be the need to modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
