Software Engineer (C/C++, Java)

Software engineer/designer (C/C++, Java) for PRISMAsync engine integration functionality.
Location: Venlo
Duration: 6 months+
languages: Dutch and English

Position's main tasks:
Prototyping of integration of an existing Embedded browser based application and related VNC-client into an existing JAVA-based application
on Windows touch UI or on a (Windows) tablet through an intermediate system that acts as Proxy but may be involved in system state changes.

Need to have:

-Information Technology master or bachelor

Knowledge of and experience with:
- IP Networks and setup of wireless, specifically Bluetooth, networks
- HTML 5 and Embedded web browsers
- C/C++, Java
- Design of a networked system using  pre-existing functional modules.

Furthermore, the person must be comfortable with quickly prototyping different alternatives based on loose, unclear and fuzzy requirements.

Learn and apply new technologies quickly when required, ability to summarize pros and cons of different alternatives clearly. Pro-active and hands-on mentality and self-steering/self-supporting.

Nice to have:
- experience with VNC (virtual networking computing) programming
- C#
- understanding of interaction design for touch UIs
