Software Engineer - Build and Release Job

Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER - BUILD AND RELEASE to join our client in Allentown, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Build and release Software Engineer will respond to and resolve emergency build or release issues across different build platforms, while supporting users from different geographical sites.
- Monitor and maintain build and release infrastructure which includes Servers, permissions and disk resources needed.
- Responsible for the version management, build, and release infrastructure supporting advanced development on a LTE SW based test bed.
- Software Engineer will also apply SCM best practices and tools to ensure SW build reproducibility, control and quality as well as developing continuous improvements on the SCM infrastructure to increase build process and cycle-time efficiencies.

Job Qualifications:

- BS or MS in Computer Science, EE or related subject matter.
- Minimum two (2) plus years of software configuration management.
- Ability to program in C/C++.
- Three (3) plus years of experience Scripting/tools/automation in TCL or Expect or Python
- Extensive expertise in software configuration management (SCM) processes, tools and techniques (Version Control tools, Defect Tracking, and Static Analysis).
- Administrator-level hands-on experience with CVS and/or Subversion is required, preferably across both UNIX and windows platforms.
- Experience using GNU Make/bin tools and processes, using Windows and Linux.

Preferred Job Skills/Certifications/Knowledge:

- Experience building under Embedded Real Time Operating Systems.
- Experience in a geographically distributed software organization or team.
- Three (3) years of deploying and administering open-source or commercial build and release tools such as Tinderbox, Bonzai, Jira, Subversion, and Coverity.
- Demonstrated working experience with Linux SW Tool Chains, SCM systems, Code Repositories (GIT, Clearcase), and Revision Control Servers.
- Five (5) years personally developing and deploying GNU Makefile OR Perl and/OR Python based build infrastructure.
- Experience with Windows internals tools such as Windows Resource Kit or Microsoft System Internals to analyze and debug windows build or infrastructure issues.
