Software Engineer (Broadcom Experience) - 12 Month Contract in Belgium

We are currently looking for a 1 year project for 2 to 3 SW engineers with 2 to 3 years (levels T1.2, T2.1) experience, and particular experience with Broadcom switch of min. 6 months.

ENGLISH SPEAKING PROJECT

What is expected technically:
- experience with Broadcom Ethernet switch (VB: Enduro, Valkiery, Trident or equivalent BCM56XXX)
- experience with Broadcom SDK (ie SW API to access the BCOM switch)
- experience with Broadcom filter processor capabilities (ie VLAN filter processor VFP, ingress filter processor IFP,)
- Ethernet/802.1Q VLAN/IPv4/IPv6/
- different aspects of Quality of Service: P-bit, DSCP, queues, shapers, policers, shedulers, marking, colouring
- C programming language in a Real Time Embedded system

What is expected technically of the person:
- SW designer get's it's input from SW architect and can work autonomously
- SW designer writes C code to implement new requested features (using BCOM SDK)
- SW designer needs be able to test the new added code (unit test & test on target)
- SW designer needs to follow the client FA design policies (eg memory allocation, OS primitive abstraction layer,)
- SW designer will debug it's SW on the target HW (ie ALU board)
- SW designer has basic knowledge of configuration control system (eg Mercurial)
- SW designer documents it's design (ppt, HTML)

What is expected non technical:
- SW designer can work in team
- SW designer is communicative
