SOFTWARE ENGINEER - ADA, UML, DOORS AND VECTOR CAST

A Software Engineer with ADA, UML, DOORS and Vector Cast is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Lancashire.

This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business

OVERVIEW OF THE SOFTWARE ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE

A Software Engineering position exists in the Mission Systems Display Computer Team, the role will cover the design, code and test of new functionality to an existing design and target architecture. This task will include the use of established methods and tools in developing/testing/maintaining the head-up and head-down displays application software. This position is a 12 month contract.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE SOFTWARE ENGINEER

- Development of Mission Critical Application Software using Ada.
- Development of the Design using UML.
- Requirements traceability using DOORS.
- Ability to read requirements written in CoRE.
- Unit testing with the use of VectorCast.
- SW/SW host integration testing using a bespoke environment based on ADASS.
- HW/SW integration testing using a Stage 2 rig.
- Use of AdaMulti.
- Script development under Windows and Unix.

The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds.
