SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years as a Data Engineer and Minimum Bachelors in CS.
- Technical Skills requirement: Solid experience in Scripting languages to manipulate text data such as python, Perl and/or Ruby
- Experience in Java programming language doing things such as sorting, joining, manipulating date attributes, querying databases
- Excellent understanding of Big Data ecosystem - Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, etc
- Big data coding experience using Java Map/Reduce, Hive, PIG and Python
- They should also have experience in Linux command line utilities A real statically typed language (Java, C++, C, C#)
- Web Development experience will be a plus.
- Application architecture - definition - Business Process Modeling
- Application - software development and design
- Collaborative personality - engage in interactive discussions
- Experience with large data sets to build programs that leveral parallel capabilities of Hadoop - MP
- Inquisitive on Big Data Technology

- Columnar DB solutions Vertica - Cassandra - Greenplum for Data Management
- Hortonworks Hadoop distribution components and custom packages
