SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Our investment bank client seek for a senior Software Engineer to join in their office in Zurich. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience and will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions from small components, to entire applications, to owning the development of software solutions spanning multiple complex systems. Software Engineers will adhere to the established life cycle methodology and practices, in accordance to project plans while carrying out their responsibilities. Director and Executive Director Software Engineers will be expected to have significant domain expertise in one or more technical areas and be responsible for mentoring and delegating work to multiple Application Developers.
Job Description:
- to implement automation capabilities to support automated installations and upgrades
- to work with an agile team of senior software engineers
- to translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into IT specifications and architectural designs
- to manage the solution hardware inventory
- to work closely with IT architects and other IT development teams within the organisation to design solid application interfaces
- to coordinate the software development and testing with external vendors, acting as a key contact for any questions or issues which may arise
- to quality check the vendor deliverables, including test case creation, test case review, design review, code review, test execution etc.
- to support the Quality Assurance/Test cycles
Requirements:
- a successful track record of vendor based software integration projects
- proven expert knowledge of vendor software packaging for UNIX and Linux type OS
- proven expert knowledge of automating distributed installations using industry standard tools
- proven expert knowledge of key enterprise integration requirements (security, automation, segregation of duties, monitoring )
- thorough understanding of software development, configuration management, source code management, and software release processes
- experience with Agile development methodology and tools
- experience with Actimize Software would be a big plus
