Software Engineer

SOFTWARE ENGINEER OMAHA, NE 12 MONTH CONTRACT

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be working on design, development and maintenance of a high transaction platform used by prominent gaming and digital goods merchants. This platform enables merchants to manage their catalog of digital goods, create offers, process checkout and manage user wallets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and develop highly scalable and fault tolerant systems using Java, J2EE and open source technologies
- Work closely with Operations and Merchant support to diagnose production issues, and implement solutions

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required
- Experience of n tier application development, preferably using Java, J2EE
- Object Oriented Design and design patterns
- Experience in creating automated build and test environments using Maven, JUnit
- Experience with Unix, Tomcat, MySQL
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one s time
- Strong knowledge of the full software development life cycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery
- Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue
- Experience with Agile methodologies/Scrum
