Software Engineer

ADA SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Embedded Software Engineers required for a leading Aerospace company based in Cheltenham to design and develop safety-critical, Real Time Embedded software for Avionics products.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Full software life cycle; requirements capture, analysis and management throughout the full life cycle, design, implementation, code scrutiny, module testing, integration testing, formal verification/reviews and documentation
- Coding and Implementation of safety-critical software in Ada/Assembler
- Development to DO-178B standards
- Updating, debugging and running software acceptance tests on a bespoke system validation rig located at the customer site
- Resolving issues in requirements, design and/or implementation

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

- Full Software Lifecycle Development experience
- Ada
- DOORS
- Communication protocols, ARINC Protocols (429/661/664)
- Aerospace software design
- Experience working on displays (civil or military) or Electrical Power Systems or Avionic Systems
- Configuration control/management (Dimensions configuration management tool is highly desirable)
- Experience with target hardware (C167,C269, PowerPC, Coldfire, PIC Microchip, TMS320)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Flexible, hard working and professional attitude
- Proactive, personable and innovative
