Software Engineer

As a contract Software Engineer within this enterprise scale Federal Government site based in Canberra, you will be responsible for:

- Software engineering including code development, requirements analysis, systems engineering, specification, design, design disclosure, development, testing, production, acceptance, quality assurance and documentation of complex systems.
- Advice on electronic, software and communication systems including architecture, software, technologies, operating systems, and system security.
- Project management, upkeep of projects within the project management software, project support and administration duties as directed.
- Support and adhere to the principles of PRINCE2:2009 and SYSTEMS ENGINEERING project methodologies. Actively participate and seek to raise the engineering capability maturity of teams with respect to project management processes and continuous improvement.
- Preparation of reports and documentation. Delivery of briefings and presentations as directed. Conduct necessary liaison with clients, service providers and project managers.
- Knowledge transfer of speciality to other team members.
- Participate in a multi-discipline team environment. Actively support and maintain positive team dynamics.

Australian citizenship is a requirement of this position. Preference will be given to candidates with existing NV1 clearance.
