Software Engineer

An investment bank based in Zurich seek a Junior Software Engineer (Java and/or C++ and/or .Net) to work for the Client Data Confidentiality (CDC) adoption program. The post-holder is responsible for defining the standard access patterns that will be used to access client data from consuming applications and implement them in conjunction with the line-of-business application development team. Develop isolating message converters between remediated and unremediated applications as the estate evolves.
This is a role that will require a large number of rapid deliveries which comply with the requirements of the data owners from multiple business areas and jurisdictions.
The role is part development and part consultant facing off to consuming applications which require Investment Bank client data both in the investment bank itself and from downstream systems in risk, finance and operations.

Job Requirement/Skills:
Proficiency with Java and/or C++ and/or .NET
SQL knowledge with some experience in any DB environment: Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL.
Experience with agile development practices, especially pair programming
Knowledge of Apache Camel would be a plus
Knowledge of Lingua, FIX, FPML and other financial products and protocols a plus
Knowledge of data protection rules, especially concerning client data
Some BA experience and/or interest
Interested in becoming permanent.
