Software Design Engineer
Location: Derby
Contract: Initially 6 months
Salary: circa £36.00 per hour

The Company:

A leading aerospace client, dealing in the design, development and manufacture of electronic control systems for aero gas turbine engines.

The Role:

Our client is looking to recruit a Software Design Engineer to join their busy software team. You will be responsible for the production of software architecture, designs and source code for engine controls systems in ADA. In addition to this you will be involved in configuration management for the software. A key member of the software team you will liaise closely with other departments such as electronics and systems to ensure that the software operates effectively.

The Candidate:

As an experienced software design engineer you should have experience of designing and coding software for safety critical applications. Recent experience of using Ada would be preferred but candidates with extensive software design experience using similar programming languages will also be considered. Candidates should have experience of configuration management using Serena Dimensions, PVC, PTC Integrity and CM Synergy. As you will be working on aerospace projects, knowledge of aerospace standards such as DO-178B is essential.

Candidates must be eligible for UK Security clearance.
