On behalf of our high profile telecoms client, I am looking for a software engineer to fulfil a contract in Lund, Sweden.
The Role:
The scope of this assignment is development, debugging and validation of test applications and test cases for validation of Core and Connectivity functionality in products based on Android. The test cases are developed to be compliant in a highly automated test environment. Test execution is also a part of the scope and regardless of methods used; the outcome should be to find errors from user perspective.
Job description
Design and implement test applications and test cases for an Android based platform. The covered use cases are mainly related to Core functionality. Automated quality measurements will also be used and integrated in the test system.
The daily tasks will vary from analysing requirements, implementation of test applications, and atomization of test suites. Test execution of delivered functionality is also a part of the daily tasks.
The job will require in depth analysis of new functionality, analysis of how to test the new functionality, analysis of how to implement test code and test cases in the test system and a mindset to find defects.
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge in testing methods and desire to break software.
- Good insight in open OS such as Android and familiarity with Embedded Linux
- Programming knowledge in Java, C, C++
- Python or similar Scripting language
- Core (power management, security, charging etc.) and/or Connectivity knowledge
