Software Engineer

Software Engineer - Fife (Scotland) - 6 month contract with opportunity to extend further

This rapidly expanding organisation require a Software Engineer who is capable of performing all of the activities necessary for development of a software solution on an independent basis.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self motivated and should be conversant in Java programming and web development. You should also hold an honours degree in a Computer Science or Software Engineering related discipline and have at least 3 years relevant commercial experience in software development.

You will work within a small team of developers, using agile methodologies such as pair programming on an important project which is expected to last 6 months. After completion of this project, you will be given the opportunity to work on additional projects. There is therefore ample scope for contract extension.

Skills/Experience Include:

Core Java

* Web Development
* Performance Testing / Automated Unit Testing

* Experience with Agile Methodologies such as Pair Programming
* Test Driven Development
* Tapestry
* RMI
