Software Engineer

Software Verification Engineer opportunity with a client located in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 1 year plus contract position responsible for digital control embedded software verification that is being improved to add functions and/or correct problems found within the fielded software. Local candidates or those able to self relocate preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop software verification cases based on requirements and problem reports to verify that the software design meets requirements and/or implements corrective action that solves the problems
- Develop software unit test scripts to verify that software units meet the low level requirements with custom scripting language

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a Technical field preferred
- Experience in embedded software development and verification preferred (DO-178B level A software verification experience is ideal)
- Abity to read multiple software languages and a demonstrated software testing background
- Ability to determine pass/fail criteria for verification tests based on software requirements and design
- Familiarity with Zilog 8002 microprocessor and any embedded systems testing experience with engine controls is a big plus
- Familiarity with fixed-point math
