Software Engineer

Description:
Seeking a creative software engineer to perform design, implementation, and unit testing of software subsystems. This person will direct a team through the implementation and unit testing of large subsystems. The interface subsystems are based on Sammi, a Motif interpreter. This individual will be responsible for interface designs to support the Sammi windows. Will use a C++ standard template library to take high level designs into software implementation. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 7+ years experience in the field or related area.
Viable candidates should have 10+ years experience.

The SCM Engineering professional will manage the software configuration, builds, and other tools integration and Scripting needs for two projects. One of the projects is in-house and the other is coordinated with an overseas contractor. This person will report to the Process and Tools Lead of the R&D Software Group, and will take primary responsibility for setting up and maintaining build Servers and software development tools in-house and on a server cloud shared with the overseas contractor. Additional responsibilities will include setting up and managing software metrics tools and participating in product and non-product software validations in a regulated environment.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

SPECIAL SKILLS NEEDED
Experience working on FDA regulated software development projects is highly desirable. Must have excellent communications skills in English and have some experience working with both in-house and overseas contract vendors. Must have experience setting up build environments in both Microsoft Windows and Unix-like operating systems. Experience with Atlassian Tools and Subversion version control system is desirable. Perl/Java Scripts experience.
