Software Engineer

Client in the immediate Boston area is looking for a Software Programmer for a 1-3 year contract. You will perform all aspects of implementing reliable flight software, which includes design, documentation, programming, configuration control, debugging and testing. Software applications can include real-time hardware control and custom aerospace avionics interfaces, telemetry data acquisition and handling, interrupt based task scheduling and autonomous operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- perform all aspects of implementing reliable flight software, which includes design, documentation, programming, configuration control, debugging and testing.
- Software applications can include real-time hardware control and custom aerospace avionics interfaces, telemetry data acquisition and handling, interrupt based task scheduling and autonomous operations.
- Working closely with a small team to develop software
- Complete testing of the software while maintaining configuration control throughout the design and test cycle.

REQUIREMENTS

- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 3-5+ years experience in demanding real-time control software development, preferably for a space- based or aerospace application.
- Experience with the C or C++ programming language in a soft real-time Linux environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- US Citizenship
