Software Distribution Specialist x 4 (Ballarat)

The client is a large leading IT managed services provider, and they are currently looking for 4 x Software Distribution Specialists with experience in software packaging or software distribution.

The role will be working on a major project where the successful candidates will be responsible for the successful installation of applications to the nominated Workstation target audience. They will also ensure that all security and application patches deemed applicable to the client environment are installed within the defined SLA's.

You will also undertake usage of a wide variety of software distribution tools, including but not limited to, SMS 2003, SCCM 2007, Active Directory, WSUS and Tivoli. Furthermore you will complete the distribution of packaged software using an automated solution to client environments, whilst complete distribution of software and security updates to client environments using a cyclical based approach.

As the successful candidate you will have an in-depth and technical understanding of both physical and virtual server/Workstation operating systems, including but not limited to, Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7, Windows NT, Server 2000, 2003 and 2008 - in both 32 and 64bit configurations. Furthermore it is essential you have extensive Installshield and WISE experience.

Skills/Experience Summary;

- Extensive Installshield and WISE experience.
- Excellent Desktop Operating System Concepts, especially Windows 2000/2003/2008/XP/Vista/Windows 7
- Good working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, NDS etc
- Understanding of the Enterprise Software Management systems - Tivoli, Active Directory, SMS, SCCM, Radia etc
