Software Distributer

My client is currently seeking an experienced Software Distribution Specialist to be based in Melbourne's CBD. The suitable candidate will be working closely with a team of Software Packagers and Windows Engineers.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:

- Gather information to assist in the analysis of client business requirements.
- Assist in defining, installing and maintaining desktop and server systems.
- Utilising proven technologies to plan, organise, design, install, operate and maintain noncomplex systems.
- Developing solutions for less complex information systems and resolving technical implementation issues to optimise performance.
- Providing third level technical support for less complex problems in an operational environment.
- Investigate alternative systems management testing methodologies, tools and performance criteria.
- Developing, negotiating and utilizing client benchmark criteria.
- At times, recommending alternative solutions, priorities, systems hardware, design changes and improvements.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

- Between two to four years experience in an IT environment, with experience administering and supporting networks, applications, desktops and Servers.
- Solid experience and understanding of Software Packing and or Software Distribution experience on operating systems including but not limited to, Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7, Windows NT, Server 2000, 2003 and 2008 - in both 32 and 64bit configurations.
- Some experience working in a medium to large scale Enterprise Software Management environment
- SCCM 2007 experience
- Experience working with high focus and critical software packages and there distributions.
