Software Development Trainer

Software Developer / Trainer - £30,000 + bonus scheme - Manchester

Skills Required: Java, Scrum, Agile

My client is an exciting software company headquartered inManchester. Developing along with Training bright young eager apprentices in the latest software languages such as PHP, JAVA, SQL, C++ and HTML. All our apprentices are also our own staff.

KEY JOB ROLES
* Deliver high quality training and mentoring to our Apprentices, developing them into skilled and competent IT professionals.
* To work closely with our software development team to ensure that the skills and knowledge of our apprentices being trained are in line with the skills required by our business
* Work closely with all assessors, internal and external verifiers to ensure that our Apprentices complete their training by the planned date
* To ensure that all process and reports required are delivered on time and to the required standard.
* To suggest improvements to processes and delivery methods.

REQUIRED SKILLS

ESSENTIAL
* Recognised IT qualifications covering software development;
* Ability to deliver lively, practical and engaging teaching and learning sessions
* Experience of developing web and/or software applications in a commercial environment;
* Excellent oral and written communication skills;
* A passion to impart knowledge and a passion to succeed;
* Commitment to ensuring diversity in the team;
* Ability to create innovative teaching materials and methods to inspire young programmers;
* Understanding of full lifecycle software development.

DESIRABLE
* A recognised teaching qualification, preferably PTLLS or an agreement to achieving a Diploma in Teaching
* Some knowledge of AGILE and SCRUM
