Software Development TEAM Leader

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEADER - CORK/EURO;314 PER DAY

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION

This person will be a senior hands-on team lead in the software development of Cloud based services that enable protection within large specialized customer environments.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

- Leading the activities of a small development and test team that create Cloud based services in the area of threat reputation for large specialized customer environments.
- Technical leadership for all team members
- Creation of the project plan and driving completion
- Report to the software development manager on overall progress
- Working with team members on matters related to technical and product specialty
- Ensure the team are clear and follow the established software development standards and best practices

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

- Strong programming skills in C++/C in a Unix-like environment
- Strong design and modelling skills
- Multi-threading and events-based programming experience
- Experience with high availability system
- Experience with network protocols including IP,TCP, HTTP
- Demonstrated experience leading a small team with examples of completed projects
- Ability to break down tasks and plan work for several people
- Ability to mentor and motivate team members
- Linux system application development

DESIRED:

- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- PostgreSQL or MySQL experience
- Cloud Computing experience
- NoSQL experience
- Python Scripting for automation
