Software Development Engineer Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (SDE) to join our client in client's team in Kirkland, WA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Our client's game services development team is looking for a qualified SDE candidate for data architecture and web services development. We are specifically looking for candidates with a technical background and an aptitude for big-data storage and large-scale, cloud-based systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The candidate will be responsible for owning the development of feature areas, implementing and executing automated testing, writing design documentation, and debugging and investigating issues.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
- At least two (2) years' experience with C#, Java, Python or some other high-level programming language.
- Two (2+) years of extensive software development experience in web services: Back End ormid-tier.
- Strong coding, algorithm design, and debugging skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a knack for solving difficult technical challenges.
- A passion for creating quality gaming and entertainment experiences.
- Experience building RESTful Web Services, large-scale services or Client Server applications.
- Extensive experience with Windows Azure (and Azure Storage) or other cloud computing platforms.
- Familiarity with (No-SQL) big-data storage concepts.
- Extensive experience with Hadoop and Hive.
- A working knowledge of Relational databases (preferably MSSQL).
- Experience with data presentation platforms: SharePoint, Excel, PowerView, and SSRS.
