About the Client Company
Our group develops Mediaroom IPTV and Internet TV solutions, covering both Client, Server and Cloud development. Mediaroom is the world's leading IPTV solution, deployed with major Telco Operators worldwide who in turn deliver advanced IPTV services over 12 Million subscriber households worldwide.
Duties & Responsibilities
This job specification is for a Software Development Engineer with excellent Object Oriented Design and software development skills.
The successful candidate must have great communication skills. Experience with large scale commercial web service development, ideally cloud based, is a bonus.
Key responsibilities include specification, architecture, design, development, unit testing and integration for our next generation IP television server products based on Windows Server and Windows Azure. If you have the above skills and experience and an ability to innovate in the fast changing pace the TV industry is embracing today, this exciting job is for you.
Required experience and qualifications:
- A Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of experience in Object Oriented software design and development
- Familiarity with web technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent influential skills
- Passion for quality
- Ability to work independently and be self-driven.
Preferred experience and qualifications:
- Experience with C# and .NET software development
- Exposure to cloud based technologies, like Windows Azure
- An interest in software design methodologies, like Design Patterns
- Experience in working across disciplines and geographical borders.
