SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER SEATTLE, WA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our hugely popular client is augmenting their International Retail dept in order to define, design and develop exciting new products. We are looking for an experienced Developer with strong architectural and design skills or testers for end-to-end experience. In this position you will be part of the team that drives the changes to support multiple languages and improve the international shopping experience.

You should be comfortable diving deep into technical architectures, development and functional requirements. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly identify and design solutions that work with all core components of the client infrastructure. The goal is to accelerate the time to market to support multiple languages in all marketplaces.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years experience building successful production software systems
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
- Experience developing service oriented architectures and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C/C++, C#, Java, Perl and open-source technologies (Linux, SQLite, OpenGL, Spring, Hibernate)
- Aptitude for technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of system performance methodologies along with hands-on empirical monitoring
- Strengths in coding, data structures, algorithms, Object Oriented Design, multi languages and security fundamentals
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
- Expertise in delivering high-quality, innovative applications
- Strong desire to build, sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Excellent written communication and verbal agility strongly preferred
- Experience in international and multicultural environment(s) a strong plus
