Are you a Software Developer who wants to drive the global transformation of the payments industry? As one of the largest E-commerce companies in the world, our client has built a world-class payment platform which processes billions of transactions worldwide via a number of payment mechanisms. These include credit cards, online and offline direct debit from bank accounts, and various forms of open and closed loop stored value. Currently this company is forming a team to externalize this platform by building a portfolio of disruptive new payments products that solve real world problems for customers (buyers, sellers and developers).

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to help design and implement large-scale distributed systems from the ground up, using the latest in industry technologies. You will launch groundbreaking new products with global reach. You will work with multiple teams and technologies to help build a fast-paced Agile environment that delivers value immediately. You will write a lot of code.

This is an opportunity to build a new product and a new team, backed by one of the industrys best payments platforms, alongside other great engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science/computer engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of industry experience
- Experience with distributed systems, networking, or storage
- Experience with Java, Linux/Unix
- Exposure to highly scalable systems
- Experience with Android, iOS, JavaScript based UI development a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
