Software Development Engineer

Our client's revolutionary reading device is one of the most innovative and fast growing businesses in the mobile industry. The client has developed significant digital and mobile businesses to include MP3s, video, mobile apps, audio, and others. Many of these applications run on a range of mobile platforms including iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile and WebOS.

We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented Software Engineers who have experience building innovative, mission-critical, high volume applications that customers love. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2-7+ years' experience building successful production software systems
- Solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals (based on a BS or MS in CS or related field)
- Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Objective C, Python) and open-source technologies (Linux, SQLite, OpenGL, Spring, Hibernate)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience developing cloud services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
- Experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces
- Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts

This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration.
