Software Development Engineer

Our team develops the components for registration, software update and messaging for mobile devices.

OVERVIEW

- Responsible for the development and maintenance of key system features.
- Will work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.
- Will establish architectural principles, select design patterns and then mentor team members on their appropriate application.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years' experience building successful production software systems
- Ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to life
- Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
- Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, C/C++) and open-source technologies

PREFERRED

- Experience with Android and Linux
- Development experience creating SDKs
- Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
- Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
- Demonstrated ability to mentor other Software Developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality
