We are currently looking for 2 SW developers, for a short term project (+/- 3months) to port Embedded Linux drivers to a specific platform, ARM processor based.
Required knowledge:
- 4+ years in Embedded software development, Embedded operating systems, Linux, ARM, device drivers
Proven experience in writing Linux Kernel drivers:
- Writing/adapting drivers and as such have experience with Kernel space versus user space.
- Master the Kernel API's for char/block/Ethernet driver
- Master linux device creation ( and link to correct driver at startup time)
- Having experience with Buildroot
Good to have knowledge of:
- FUSE ( virtual file system in user space )
- UIO ( user space IO, for memory mapped access )
- YAffs for accessing root file system on NAND
- Bootloader
Timeframe:
- Expected Start: ASAP, start January 2013
- Expected Duration: 3 months
