Software Developer with profound Visual Basic 6 knowledge wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Proficient in Visual Basic 6 software development and maintenance
- Good understanding of Oracle and Access Data Bases
- DevOps experience is advantageous (JIRA or Subversion)
- Prior working experience in a finance institute is advantageous
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
- Communicative personality coupled with the ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German on a conversational level (B1 Level)
YOUR TASKS:
- Developing software components with Visual Basic 6, as defined by the systems development life cycle, in close collaboration with other VB6 developers
- Testing unit and integration of components for the integration into larger subsystems as well as managing versions of software artifacts
- Dealing with high-priority defects and deploying fixes to the production systems
- Ensuring the created code is secure, stable and operational
