SOFTWARE DEVELOPER/SCRIPTER (PERL, PYTHON, SHELL SCRIPTING, UNIX, LINUX, POSTGRES, SQL, XML, SVN) required to work for the UK's leading Mobile Managed Service provider.

Key Responsibilities for the Software Developer/Scripter (Perl, Python, Shell Scripting, Unix, Linux, Postgres, SQL, XML, SVN):

- Developing, test and release Perl scripts and modules that, interact with a messaging queue, parse XML files, control database loaders, control database table management.
- Deploy and manage Perl based solutions on Redhat platforms .
- Translate business and design requirements into automation solutions written in Perl .
- Test and release code via SVN .
- Parse, translate and store data sourced from XML, CSV and semi structured data files.

5+ years experience in the following:

- Scripting with Perl
- Experience in driving database processes through SQL
- Familiarity with Postgres
- Can handle large amounts of data (parsing loading 1TB/day, Millions of rows an hour)
- In depth knowledge of SVN (Subversion)
- In depth knowledge of UNIX/Linus
