SOFTWARE DEVELOPER needed for an EIGHT MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Albany, NY

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- C#/C++ 5 years
- Programming on windows platforms using Visual Studio
- Experience with JavaScript and HTML 5

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develops innovative solutions to improve products and processes with a focus on the customer's experience.
- Leads efforts to create or totally redesign existing products/modules processes
- Translate loosely defined marketing requests into product definitions.
- Interface with Quality Assurance team to ensure quality
- Investigate and evaluate new technologies
- Technically lead a cross-functional team in defining and accomplishing an engineering goal with well-defined scope.
- Capable of applying technical skills and experience to assigned tasks with no guidance.
- Acts as a mentor & disseminates knowledge to engineers on technology and engineering development matters and is a role model and mentor to others as a thorough reviewer and auditor of other's work.
- Can make effective and appropriate technical presentations to senior staff.
- Provide timely and accurate estimates for project deliverables

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a Science Field.
- Five (5+) years' experience using Object Oriented Design, data modelling, and analysis methodologies
- Five (5+) years' experience using C#/C++
- Five (5+) years' experience programming on Windows platforms using Microsoft Visual Studio.
- One (1+) Year experience with JavaScript and HTML5
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Developing industrial communication software
- Developing HMI/SCADA software
- Creating graphical user interfaces
- Experience with web services, SOA, ESB, data modelling and databases
- Experience with Automated Testing frameworks (eg NUnit, Microsoft Unit tests)
- Agile/Scrum experience
