Software Developer - C/Java/Linux

Yoh has a contract-to-hire opportunity for a C/JAVA DEVELOPER ON UNIX/LINUX to join our client in Melbourne, FL.

*THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE CANDIDATE TO EITHER ALREADY HAVE A DOD SECRET LEVEL CLEARANCE OR HIGHER OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN ONE.*

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development. Requires the application of the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Consults with electrical or mechanical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements of the overall system.
- Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree.
- Programming languages C and Java.
- Experience developing in C, Java, and Object Oriented Design including working knowledge of standard libraries and design patterns.
- Experience with software development methodologies and cycles: Specifications, design, implementation and testing. Familiarization with UML and Use Case design techniques is beneficial.
- Candidate should have a good grasp of debugging skills.
- Experience on Unix and/or Linux OS.
- Expertise in data structures and algorithms. Previous ground system development and/or mission planning experience would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle routine tasks.
