SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (C++/C) - CORK - IRELAND - CONTRACT
My client are a internationally recognised organisation who are looking for a Software Developer (C++/C) to be part of the team that is responsible for the software development of Cloud based services that enable protection within large specialized customer environments. The Software Developer will monitor the daily progress against the project's backlog and will actively participate in the group and project meetings. They will also be responsible for assisting in the creation of project backlogs and general project design.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
- Input into the project plan from a technical standpoint
- Participate as part of the team in the technical strategies for the projects and product
- Drive projects to completion as defined by the project plans for areas of assigned responsibility
- Report to the management team on overall progress for assigned responsibilities
- Working with team members on matters related to technical and product specialty
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong programming skills in C++/C in a Unix-like environment
- Strong design and modelling skills
- Multi-threading and events-based programming experience
- Experience with high availability system
- Experience with network protocols including IP,TCP,HTTP
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Linux system application development
