SUMMARY:

- Development of standard reports for use by program managers and staff.
- Development of SSRS Report Models that allow program managers and staff to construct ad-hoc queries from database.
- Maintenance of existing automated data export process that replicates program tables to a Microsoft Access database for program evaluator use.
- Assist in development/refinement of program dashboard in SharePoint for use by program staff and executives.
- Development of SSAS data cubes to provide appropriate program analytics, aggregation, KPI tracking/trending, and Business Intelligence integration into dashboard development.
- Other tasks as requested by Energy Efficiency Planning department.
- Work with Smart Ideas program managers to identify reporting needs.
- Develop reports and report models for use with Smart Ideas database applications.
- Assist with database updates as needed.
- Develop reporting dashboard for programs and portfolio data.
- Develop automated scorecard for periodic reporting and trending.
- Work with EE Program staff and application programmers to identify and repair data discrepancies.
- Perform other database and reporting tasks as assigned by.
- Spend a good deal of time on the documentation side
- Identifying all of the touch points in the process from a data base standpoint
- Identifying stored procedures
- Areas for improvement (ie validations needed, etc.)
- Will need to understand the database side (SQL server) and also the Visio side to document the procedure
- SQL 2012 (hosted service) that is transparent on their side
- Day-to-day: will go through stored procedures via the naming convention to then document them; there are some tables that would have been created in interim that need to be removed or excluded from the processes; many of the procedures were developed some time ago in an ad hoc fashion; looking for someone to streamline and consolidate the process; need understanding of how to build cubes and while they won't necessarily be building cubes, it will be necessary to have this knowledge to perform the other duties effectively

SKILLS:

PROFICIENCIES:

- Understanding of relational database structures required.
- Minimum one year experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012, including Report Builder, Report Server, Analysis Services and other Business Intelligence Development Studio components.
- Should be proficient in building customized report models using Model Designer.
- MCTS certification a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Visual Studio 2010 a plus.
- Strong process documentation experience.
