Software Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a large project to integrate new and current systems. Business IT reviewed which systems would lead to the "best of breed" to take the company forward into the future. This will be the work to complete the integration work for the chosen systems/applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Writing new applications
- Writing integration apps
- Writing functions in the system that have been chosen
- Web work would be about 20% of the overall hours
- More of it will be in modifying desktop apps and web services (new interfaces)
- Back End programs: Batch jobs need to be written or modified

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5-10 years experience preferred
- .Net (VB .Net/C# .Net)
- Oracle work is involved
- Sequel is their main database
- Need to be able to follow a process and take input/feedback and integrate within their process
- There will be different levels of complexity over the work that is in the queue
- Communication skills are important to be able to explain what is being worked on and what has been accomplished
