Software Developer

An exciting opportunity exists for a Software Developer with Unix/Perl/Oracle/MSSQL skills for a 4 month contract with a strong view to extend.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Migration of data systems to SQL server and testing
- Support Operation teams requests to modify any automated reports
- Assist Operation teams on data issues and troubleshooting
- Assist in model simulations
- Daily system administration of Unix system and Oracle database

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- Demonstrated ability to undertake administration of UNIX SERVER AND ORACLE/MSSQL databases.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and modify Perl Scripting language used in Web based information systems
- Demonstrated experience and skills in all forms of communicating to people at all levels, negotiation skills and ability to reprioritise and meet short deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to display behaviours that support and uphold company values.
