Software Dev Engineer Test

Our client is seeking an experienced SOFTWARE DEVELOPER ENGINEER IN TEST, with hands-on coding experience in Java or C++, to build and extend test frameworks for API testing, create test and manage test plans, and code automated test suites.

This position requires strong coding and testing skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture as well as an end-to-end understanding of common QA tools and practices. We expect the ideal candidate to scope, design, implement, and maintain the test framework for this new product, and to work both independently as well as in collaboration with the development staff. You'll have the opportunity to develop components in a new technology architecture that will serve as the building blocks for thousands of eCommerce websites.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong development (SDE or SDET) background on large projects on collaborative teams
- Development experience; 3+ years software development experience
- Proven coding skills in C++ and or Java a must

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Understanding of XML, XSD, WSDL, and SOAP and a history working with web client software
- Linux experience and a computer science degree preferred
- Experience working in QA, developing automated test frameworks (as opposed to writing automated tests for an existing framework, such as LoadRunner/WinRunner)

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
