Software Dev Engineer Security

Our hugely popular client is seeking SOFTWARE ENGINEERS to form a new team in Information Security dedicated to enabling the organization to perform its most critical functions on a huge scale. The Information Security team offers a unique opportunity to welcome engineers who have a strong desire for solving complex and interesting problems. As an engineer, you will contribute to all aspects of the software development life cycle including design, development, documentation, testing and operations. As a part of the team, and while working with our wider development community, you will deliver innovative solutions to achieve security objectives.

Engineers work on a variety of projects that carry varying responsibilities. Below are some examples of the diverse projects with which you might be involved.

- Build engines that identify, track, and communicate risks across the enterprise.
- Develop solutions that discover security concerns on a vast number of hosts and applications.
- Write Server Side and client-side code for web-based applications to create robust, high-volume production solutions.
- Build internal systems that enable provisioning of scanning platforms, and allow on demand or continuous scanning of our critical assets.

You have strong verbal and written communication skills, are self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment. You have strong computer science credentials, are passionate about Internet technology, are customer-obsessed and have a track record of building quality services. You know how to build and you dive deep into Back End services. You excel when working on complex and diverse systems. You can succinctly and accurately report your findings. Most importantly, you have a passion for learning and continuous improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience or equivalent
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, or PERL
- Experienced with SQL and relational databases
- Proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails within a Linux/Unix environment
- Self-directed, ability to multi-task, sharp analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment
- Proven design skills and able to find creative scalable solutions to difficult problems
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, Internet security fundamentals and designing for performance, scalability and availability
- Project-management skills, sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Results oriented, high energy, self-motivated

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Proficiency with MySQL within a Linux/Unix environment
- Familiarity with building high quality, AJAX enabled websites. HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS experience
- Experience developing rich web user interfaces with JavaScript, including related graph plotting libraries (JQuery, JQuery UI, D3)
