Software Dev Engineer Lead

Our hugely popular client's Advanced Gaming Technology team in Orange County is building exiting new offerings aimed at propelling gaming experiences to the next digital era. This company is aggressively innovating to break several molds and launch entirely new technologies and businesses around games. We are currently seeking a Principal/Sr. Software Development Level Engineer for a 3 to 6 months engagement to assist with solving some challenging virtualization problems. We are looking for specific expertise in the following areas: multimedia, streaming, device drivers, OS Kernel development, hardware/processor virtualization and emulation, Android x86, and ARM.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years focusing on core systems development and Android OS
- BS in Computer Science, a strong background in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis required
- Track record of successfully solving hard engineering problems in Kernel/diver and multimedia development and Real Time networking
- Proficiency with the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages and familiarity with emerging open-source technologies
- Development experience on multiple platforms and mobile devices
- Excellent judgment, organizational and problem solving skills: technical, project, and personnel
- Exceptional skill in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to take raw product requirements and create software architectures and designs to bring them to life
- Experience work closely with other Developers to understand their needs and issues and to develop cooperative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to mentor other Software Developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
