Software Dev Engineer in Test

Our client's International Expansion team is looking for an experienced SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST to join its engineering team, to stamp the quality of its business critical system.

These systems need to meet remarkably high standards of quality, performance and reliability, operating around the clock on a massive scale. If you are a talented, detail-oriented and enthusiastic SDET who is passionate about quality and is enthusiastic about coding for testing, then this is the right team for you!

The candidate is expected have a strong drive for results, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. S/He should be fully capable of understanding complex systems and developing the tools to test the functional, performance quality of the same.

They are also expected to be significant contributors in the development of high quality test automation. SDETs are expected to continuously raise the bar for QA practices, establishing and documenting procedures which are applicable company-wide. They need to be abreast with the latest technologies both in the company and industry and be able to utilize them to good effect.

BASIC QUALIFICATION

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and 3+ years of experience in testing or development desired
- Programming experience with Java, C++ or Perl required
- Experience with functional, performance and stress testing for Back End services
- Experience developing high quality test strategies and test plans
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with functional, performance and stress testing for Back End services/REST services
- Experience developing automation tools and frameworks a big plus
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience developing in a Linux environment

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
