Software Dev Engineer in Test

Our high-visibility client's SDK provides tools and documentation to help developers create applications to run on their bestselling mobile device. Currently this client is looking for a passionate, results-oriented Software Development Test Engineer to help test the SDK. Candidates should understand software development for mobile devices as well as for large scale distributed services, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be eager to take on new responsibilities, and have a track record of delivering high quality, mission critical systems. In this role you will work closely with the software development and product teams to deliver new mobile experiences to the marketplace. You will collaborate with the product teams to deliver the best product with most efficient use of resources and technologies. Successful candidates will have a technical background, be detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities.

You will design and automate tests for SDK features across APIs, middle and Back End services using cutting-edge technologies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field, or equivalent software experience
- 3+ year experience as a developer, QA Engineer, or as an SDET
- Experience in Java or C development, or White Box testing
- Proficient in C, Python, Shell, and Java
- Ability to programmatically test the product, measure test coverage, develop the best automation, drive testability and diagnostic ability into the product, while promoting best practices in quality areas
- Expertise in software quality and testing methodologies, test automation tools, schedulers, frameworks, and harnesses
- Familiarity with Linux or other Unix server class operating systems
- Experience with Make files and Ant build scripts
- API automation testing including working experience with unit test automation frameworks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience with software development kits
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit, and continuous integration tools like Hudson or Jenkins
- Practical knowledge of Agile Testing methodology
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners
- Keen analytical skills and excellent problem solving

This contract position is expected to be 9 months in duration.
