Our hugely popular client is looking for talented and enthusiastic SDEs to join the Digital Content Platform team. The Digital Content Platform team owns services supporting ingestion and purchase of digital content, including ebooks, Apps for Android, music, and video content.

As a member of the team you will have the opportunity to support aggregation and reporting of financial information for digital transactions across several services. You will be responsible for building automated scripts and queries using Hadoop and Hive. Ability to learn quickly, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and dealing with ambiguity are important skills required for success on this job.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field
- 3+ years relevant work experience in a development or data engineer role
- Expertise in Hadoop, Hive, querying and managing Big Data
- Experience with Java programming
- Knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of Accounting and Finance preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
