Software Design Engineer - J2EE, SAML

J2EE SAML DESIGN ENGINEER

We are seeking a Software Design Engineer to work on our client site in Chicago. Selected individual will be responsible for putting in place an architecture that will allow the company to integrate web services security between two entities (or companies). This type of security architecture is generally put in place for B To B communication. The company is a J2EE shop and J2EE background would be helpful but MUST have the SAML technology experience.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience including application system design and implementation.
- Experience integrating the components of technology platforms
- Expertise in design using UML 2 is required.
- Experience delivering software in a Scrum environment preferred.
- Proven implementor of SAML based federated security a MUST HAVE
- Expert in SAML 2.0.
- In-depth experience with Ping Identity (preferred), OpenSAML, Spring Security SAML or similar.
- Successful delivery of Identity Manager solution using Tivoli Federated, RSA Federated, PingFederate or equivalent products. Must be an authority in this domain.
- Must be willing and able to provide mentoring to project teams.
- CSDP preferred

This is a hands-on, tactical architecture position.
Deliverable: Design, implement, configure and integrate SAML broker solutions
Candidate should possess outstanding communication skills, both oral and written and be able to communicate effectively and concisely at all organizational levels. Candidate must be 'hands-on' and interested in promoting software engineering best practices. Must be able to present (using whiteboard and/or design artifcacts) and clearly explain concrete examples of previous design and architecture in which they had specific accountability, including justification of design decisions and tradeoffs.
