Software Design Engineer in Test 3

SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER IN TEST 3 REDMOND, WA

We are seeking a talented SDET 3 to assist with developing test-cases, building automation, running test-passes, and diagnosing/troubleshooting test-failures. This is an opportunity for experienced candidate to demonstrate a solid technical skill set.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in building new test automation to support DRM testing of new mobile and desktop platforms
- Augment existing test-suites with new test-cases for test scenarios and work proactively to improve test automation
- Automate and assist with device setup and deployment
- Run semi-automated scenario tests and report on results
- Assist in the daily troubleshooting and diagnosis of test failures for existing PlayReady test suites

REQUIRED SKILLS

- proficient in C#, JavaScript, and PowerShell
- previous experience testing at Microsoft, preferably on a Windows project
- have demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities using Microsoft platform tools (eg Visual Studio, WinDBG)
- have a passion for working with Media, on mobile and desktop devices
- (may) have experience with C and C++ (desired, not required)

EXPERIENCE

- Demonstrated programming capabilities and a passion for mobile and desktop development.
- A minimum of 6 year of professional experience is required for the SDET 3 position.
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a science degree with professional experience as a software engineer, is a must.
- The right candidate must know and have previous experience with C#, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
- Experience with C and C++ is also desired, but not a requirement
